Editorial Policy

Help My Marriage publishes practical educational information for people trying to understand a difficult marriage and decide what to do next.

We do not provide individualized therapy, medical care, legal or financial advice, emergency help, or a promise that a particular method will save a marriage.

How we research an article

  1. Start with the real question the reader is trying to answer.
  2. Separate practical suggestions from factual or clinical claims.
  3. Check important claims against reliable, relevant sources.
  4. Include safety limits and professional-help guidance when the subject requires it.
  5. Link the reader to a useful next step rather than stuffing the page with unrelated links.

Sources may include peer-reviewed research, government agencies, recognized professional organizations, licensed specialists, and original provider documentation. Vendor claims and customer ratings are not treated as independent proof.

Prices, program terms, privacy practices, refund policies, and service availability can change. Commercial and counseling-related pages should be checked again when they are updated.

How we evaluate books, apps, courses, and services

We look at who created the resource, what qualifications or evidence support it, who it may help, what it costs, whether charges recur, how cancellation and refunds work, what privacy concerns exist, and what the product cannot reasonably do.

We do not claim to have used or professionally reviewed a resource unless that actually happened and is described accurately. An educational app or course is not presented as a substitute for licensed care.

Advice we will not publish

  • Remote diagnoses of a spouse or reader.
  • Manipulation, jealousy tactics, secret surveillance, coercion, or unsafe confrontation.
  • Guarantees that a marriage will be saved.
  • Invented credentials, testimonials, personal stories, or product experience.
  • Advice that treats every marriage, culture, belief system, or situation as the same.

Safety comes before saving the relationship

Ordinary conflict is not the same as abuse, stalking, coercive control, immediate danger, or a mental-health crisis. When safety may be involved, protecting the person at risk and finding qualified local help takes priority over communication exercises, couples products, or preserving the marriage at any cost.

Author identity and privacy

Daniel Mercer is an editorial pseudonym used by Help My Marriage to protect the publisher’s privacy. The name is not intended to suggest professional licensure, clinical credentials, professional review, or personal experience that has not been stated and verified.

Affiliate relationships

Some pages may contain affiliate links. If a reader buys through one of those links, Help My Marriage may receive compensation. The relationship will be disclosed near the recommendation.

Compensation does not decide whether a resource is included, how it is described, or whether a free or non-affiliate option is better. A high payout does not make a product useful.

Corrections and updates

We aim to correct meaningful errors promptly and update information when we learn that it has changed. Readers can report a possible error through the Contact page.
